Main event last weekend was a visit to Leiden.
Jelmer celebrated his fourth weekiversary and treated J. and me on 'biscuits with mouses (blue)'. He was in a tremendous shape, sucking endlessly on Hiskes breath, giving a smile now and then and just very modest screams. His parents Hiske and Arjen were very happy, proud and relaxed, last of which is rarely seen with young parents and their first born. After the visit we were completely convinced that this Jelmer guy is going to be a big one.
Along the same beautiful Haarlemmerweg there is this huge renovation going on. The projectleader is Rick Potma (longs legs on picture above belong to him, as well as this beautiful 'bin bike'), assisted every now and then by his son Aike (blond guy on same picture) and his girlfriend Wendelmoet (picture on her own below that).
After having renovated their Moscowian appartment in 2004, Rick swore never to take up any building job again. Unfortunately this very big but rather slummy ('High potential,' the broker says) house crossed his path. An extremely big garden and an almost ideal location on the waterside, on the edge of the Leiden historical center, broke his oath.
It looks like everything is going to be as beautiful as the detail below. WenRick&Aike are going to live like czars in the Netherlands!
