In 1938 my grandmother bought a photo camera. What does a woman farmer in the first half of the 20st century with such a device?
Taking pictures.
On this one you see her in the center of the children she had at that moment: over her shoulder Jos (Mike's dad, see post before) and her first born Simon to the right. She holds the twins Lia (left; my mother) and Dorothe.
My grandfather, Leen van Wieringen, unfortunately focussed on the front room of their farm Den Aard. So we now can see the sun shining in March 1939 sharp as a knife on the window frame. This is never gonna happen again exactly like this.
